Lawton High School has made impressive strides in recent years, largely due to the leadership of its new principal. Theres a noticeable shift in the schools atmosphere, with a stronger sense of pride among students and staff alike. Opportunities for involvement have expanded, especially through a wide range of extracurricular activities that help students stay engaged beyond the classroom. Overall, Lawton is becoming a more positive, spirited, and well-rounded learning environment.

every class has homework which makes for a long day for students. disruptive classmates is the most common cause of excess homework.

even after being recommended for AP placement by teachers we still did pre-algebra for a 4th year the school wasn't even interested in her placement tests

no one handles bullying my student has been threatened for 2 years with nothing ever being done. its also acceptable for boys to "grope" breasts and other areas on female students and nothing is done when teachers/counselors are made aware. weekly fights in the cafeteria

Lawton High School is one of the best high schools in southwest Oklahoma and it is an honor to have my kids go there.

The teachers can'take get through the lessons in class, do to the disruptive students they can't handle , so they end up sending the students home with homework they don't understand . With no books to assign the Internet has become the teacher.

The counselors are always to busy to assist the kids and most of the teachers act as if they have the worst job in the world.

I had two daughters to graduate Lawton High and have my son there now. I'm retired military and one of the big reasons we stayed here was because our children had beeter educational opportunities than if we moved back to our home state. Additionally, the programs that the school has with the local colleges (Cameron University and the Great Plains Technology Center) gives the students multiple resources to get ahead that most of us never had. Overall, the faculty is supportive and wants all of the kids to excel.

I currently have a senior attending LHS. He has spent four years at LHS and has had an exceptional experience. He has been challenged academically and participated in multiple social activities. He has excelled beyond my expectations. Thank you to the staff & faculty at LHS.

I have two sons that graduated from Lawton High School (one in 2010 and one in 2014). Both received an excellent education at LHS. The administration is proactive in addressing issues, especially when dealing the safety of their students. All counselors work to keep students focused towards graduation goals. In my experience I was always able to meet with teachers to work through any classroom issues. My boys were involved in various sports and clubs. I cannot say enough about their experiences and the fond memories they have of high school. They both feel they have had success in college as a result of their teachers at LHS.

Its terrible. Every thing about Lawton high is bad. The food and everything. I hate people also lol
