This school was terrible. it completely killed any love i had for learning. Most of the work is busywork, the administration doesn't listen to the needs of the general student body, most of the clubs are lackluster and low performing, the teachers play favorites and generally don't help with preparedness for college at all. Many students struggled to graduate and the school just generally feels like a prison.
The school tries to do disciplinary action in a way that punishes hardworking students and promotes cheating. They put so much money into the football program that all of the other programs, like the TSA program and Band program literally struggle to survive. Some of the TSA teachers work for free and the band instruments are held together with tape so that the sports teams, particularly boys sports teams, can keep failing in a spectacularly disappointing fashion.
After transferring high schools I am so happy I never have to go here again. If you're a parent considering moving your child into Ambridge, PLEASE choose one of the surrounding school districts instead.

Bad. My child has been doing worse and worse each year and it's just more and more homework. They go to school all day spend, 2-3hrs for sports and after school activities 3hrs on homework and completely exhausted. They is no time for them to be a kid and enjoy their friends. We need more teachers, less homework and time for them to play and enjoy their childhood!

The classes i took had minimal homework that only took a couple minutes to finish at best and was essentially busy work and not helpful for anything at all.

The teachers are terrible! They act like teenagers themselves! They gossip about one another and they gossip about other students. If you don`t fit their ideal type of student you get treated terribly and there is no room for growth. The classes at this school are a complete joke. They don`t prepare you for college, even the AP classes. All these teachers care about is preparing you for the state tests but not teaching things you`ll need for college like study habits, how to apply for scholarships, and decent time management.

I cannot say enough about the teachers, staff and administrators at AAHS. My child recently had a medical emergency during school hours. Her teacher, administrators and school nurse responded quickly and professionally. After the incident, great lengths were taken by many to ensure there was no break in my child's education. I am confident that the students of AAHS are receiving a quality education, with new and exciting courses being offered to meet the students' needs. I feel they are surrounded by caring and motivated teachers who are always looking out for the students' needs. I am proud to be a part of this wonderful district.

Our TSA courses are fantastic. My son received a fantastic opportunity at the high school. When he went to college he was so far ahead of others in his engineering classes.

I am impressed with the school; I.e., teachers , administration , etcetera , they always keep the line of communication open. I have two in university's after graduating from Ambridge and another graduating in 2014.
