York Academy has embedded itself into the heart of the York community and we're very happy to be among the families who call it our school.
As York Academy parents, my wife and I see students who build each other up through their challenges. We're kept informed by teachers who apply a principled learning approach in their student-driven classrooms. We communicate openly with an administration passionate about pushing beyond the limits of traditional education. And we come home to two sons who are excited about the world they explore every day.
It's so cool to see a school in the heart of York's downtown that brings students together into one community from such a broad range of cultural backgrounds throughout the county.
Much thanks to the students, parents, teachers and staff who make YARCS a great place to learn.

We just finished kindergarten, it was a terrible experience and we won't be going back. Teachers, staff and administration are condescending and rude. They are charter, and can pick which students they want...and once they decide then don't want you, they make your life miserable. They spend all day trying to track what kids did wrong...instead of praising what they did well. I wouldn't recommend this school to anyone.

The experience my child had at this school was horrible. His teacher didn't seem experience. The exceptions are high; higher then they should be for the kids grade level. The teacher herself said they are not developmentally appropriate. This school is not for every kid. So unless you kid can work under pressure and follow their rigorous academic education. You might be better having your kid attend a different school.

York Regional is an excellent IB school. Children are engaged and learning new things everyday.

This school is like having your child attend a private institution. The staff is amazing and the educational expectations are high. I am deffinatly lucky to have my child attend her.
