Ive had two children go through this school and it has significantly gone downhill post covid. The principal cannot get a handle on the out of control behavior in many of the classrooms to the point that bullying even frustrates the teachers.

Many have left to seek employment elsewhere. Its a real shame too because this school used to be great.

Current administration needs to change and quickly too.

I can’t say enough good things about the Washington Heights Elementary school. My child has a learning disability and this is the first time she’s ever been happy when she returns from school. ( we moved from the “amazing” CV school district) Shes allowed to remain in common classes with other students instead of being sent off to separate classrooms ( for learning disabilities) like they used to at her old school. The hype and claim that CV school districts are superior must be for real estate gain or redlining. I can’t stress enough that we have had 10x better of an experience here at Washington Heights. The teachers and staff are wonderful and very involved. I would absolutely recommend this school district.

This school is what is excellent about the West Shore School District, you have highly engaged staff and a great prinicipal who creates a wonderful nuturing environment. We moved our children here from a elite private school and could not be happier!!

Came here from a private school and we couldn't be happier. My child actually likes school again. The teachers really care about each child as an individual. The principal in highly knowledgeable and very involved in the kids progression through her school. The facility is wonderful, and the parents are friendly. I would highly recommend this school to anyone.
