I didn’t have a review but I had a question. If my child had a learners ability and didn’t want to spend much time doing school. Would this be a good fit? Honestly

This school has been a true blessing. My children are in middle and high school and I love the fact that they are able to work in the packets at their own pace. Their packets are educational and exciting. I am glad to see their efforts to keep students safe with COVID. This school is a God send. My only complaint is some of their staff is rude. I went in with my son to get a transcript for insurance purposes and the young woman who helped us was rude. She talked to me like I was a child and when I told her my sons name, she didn’t even acknowledge me but she made a phone call and told the other person on the phone she has looked everywhere for my sons file when she didn’t even get up. And as we waited for someone to fax my sons transcript she brushed her hair and did her make up. This was totally unprofessional. Other that that experience this school is wonderful.

Most of the teachers were rude and acted like they just completely and utterly HATED their job but had to be there. I understand kids can be hard to deal with especially the ones that have big personalities or big mouths. I get it but there’s no reason to be so rude or get in full blown heated arguments with a kid.

I was made to feel like I was completely stupid for not understanding my math and english - mind you that I had JUST come from a private christian college prep high school that I had been at my entire life until I started at Gateway. The booklets were hard to understand without someone teaching me step by step how to do calculus(in 10th).

When I was there, the faculty would tell the student to leave or get someone to pick them up....they’d stand around in the parking lot smoking and popping pills.

Great! I flew under the radar, made good grades on simple tests and copied 3 years of Spanish books. I do feel like it was an injustice to me because I didn’t really get to go to school and have someone sit down and teach me math, science, history, etc. It’s a shame for sure. But, everyone is different and they have so so many kids from all over the tri-state area. Craziness for such a small place.

It’s mainly a homeschool for kids that refuse to go to regular school, get kicked out of school, pregnant, or other reasons. No one pays attention to these kids. I was one of them and not one teacher, faculty, or employee knew me personally or my name. I’ve heard this for going on 17 years now.

Enrolled both of my kids this year, and both kids went through the process very well. Mrs. Barbara and her staff at Paris extension office are always there to help! Books are tough, but luckily they have a tutor on site every Tuesday and Thursday.

im currently a sophmore at gateway at the paris tennessee campus. i enjoy gateway and have been with them 5 years now and looking to graduate with them in 2 years. its a great school but has its cons, the books are very difficult, but theres a tutor at every campus. the Tuition is a bit pricey but well worth it. rules and dress code are a bit tight, but the plan to do ur schoolwork is very flexible, you do it at home on ur own time. PROS: Good Staff, Flexible Work Plans, Fully acreddited CONS: Looks like a place were parents take delenquints, ive seen a few pregnant teens there. Books are a biiiiit difficult

I enrolled my son in August and am very pleased with the program! I took my son out of an expensive private school and now he is learning more and is much more relaxed and happy. Well worth the money!

Gateway Christian is such a wonderful school!!such a blessing god is so good to us. The entire staff is so pleasant, I just cant believe that there is such a place.My girls are both honor roll students. The staff will work very hard with your child. God please continue to blessh this program and your humble followers who operate this school.
