Today my son’s snacks were stolen from his backpack at school(AMMS). I would really appreciate it if we could continue teaching our children the importance of respecting other people’s belongings and not taking things that do not belong to them. The fact that someone went into his backpack to take his snacks is concerning and not okay.

So this goes to say if I could give this school less than 1 star I would after sharing my experience with other parents who have children that attend this school the stories are horrific I am so saddened that my child has to attend this school the remaining of his jr high years and the staff just don’t give a damn about the students they are horrible at putting information out it’s hard to reach teachers it’s always send an email, I’m jealous of the parents leaving the area and to think my daughter is to come here in another year is driving me crazy. They need better staff and with my son having an IEP they don’t even have the proper staff to help assistanting him he comes home daily saying I don’t really get help even if I ask I’m sick of this school and we’ve been here for 5 months

My son is currently in 6th grade, and his math and language arts grades started to drop. His teachers reached out to me right away and kindly explained what we could do to help. They were also very supportive and even offered to work with him after school on the areas he needs.

Thanks to their encouragement and care, my son—who has always disliked studying—has started saying he wants to study on his own. This is the first time he has ever shown that kind of motivation, and I truly believe it is because of the teachers’ support.

I’m very grateful for the teachers at this school and the way they genuinely look out for their students.

The staff ignore issues are reported about being sexually assaulted and they didn't file it. We are also immensely overworked and they don't care about our mental health. The teachers for the most part with some exceptions are great but the staff do not care. Our value as a student is represented by a letter on a paper and we are treated differently depending on that letter it's horrible. Not to mention I get dress coded for things that other students are allowed to wear freely and my friend had gotten dress coded for wearing a rainbow lanyard when it's not even against the dress code. I don't even feel comfortable going to that school. On top of all this I also had a teacher had me sit with a student that I am not supposed to be seated near instead of just letting me sit by my friends at lunch which there was no problem with before. Finally they do not properly account for students with mental health issues which inhibit their learning capabilities.

We just moved to the area at the beginning of this school year, my oldest is autistic and has spent the majority of his time in school in a special education classroom. Coming to Audie Murphy I was VERY concerned because they were mainstreaming him right away. My fear was completely for nothing, this school is AMAZING! They made sure to keep me involved in his education and if I had any concerns or questions they made sure that everything was answered to my satisfaction. Their policies and procedures that they have in place for bullying and student conduct is fabulous, we never had any issues of my son feeling bad or being ostracized. It wasnt just the school but the students themselves went out of their way to be kind and include my son in every way. It has raised the bar for his next school, I would recommend this school iver anyother in the area hands down. A++++ rating all the way!

My daugter is in the 8th grade. We both love this school. Hated palo alto that is a school that sucks really bad. .

My daughter has went to this school for 3 years and is Vice President of honors society and plays all the sports for athletics. There are some teachers at this school who are less attentive to the students than others but as a whole this is a really great school. The athletics department could use some improvement. I think it is all about the individual student in mean of succeeding and doing well at this school.
