My child’s experience at Clear Creek High School has been extremely disappointing. The administration and staff are more focused on disciplining students and enforcing unnecessary rules than actually providing a meaningful education. Instead of supporting students academically, they seem to care only about getting them through high school as quickly as possible, without ensuring we actually learn anything valuable. There is little encouragement or help for students who want to improve or need extra assistance. It’s frustrating to see more energy put into giving out detentions and suspensions than into teaching or helping them succeed. Overall, it feels like the school’s priority is just to get students out the door, not to prepare them for their futures.

Clear Creek High School has gone downhill significantly. Teachers and staff members are unprofessional and unregulated. Staff members do not follow policies or procedures. Administrators sweep big issues under the rug. Counselors are non responsive and have stated they are severely understaffed. There seem to be no standards for or expectations of students and staff. Drugs are rampant on campus. Administrators have stated that they are powerless to keep the campus clean and safe for students and suggested I transfer my child to a better school. The front office buzzes people into the building without even looking up from their phones to see who it is or check for ID, despite weekly threats to their campus. This school does not care about the success or safety of your child.

I have had two daughters graduate from Creek, and my son currently attends. Creek has a great culture and the teachers are very willing to help students who show they want to try. I think the administration is fair and kind. I know my daughters were well prepared for college and are very successful adults. I credit the Creek family with a great deal of their success. "Once a Wildcat, Always a Wildcat"!

The district is constantly leaving our school in the dust, just because our school is the oldest high school. They say they are still working on construction, but the thearte department still doesn't have a stage. While we also have the smallest high school, they zoned everyone to go to Falls or Lake.

My daughter attend Clear Creek now and I am not very happy with the staff or the way they treat parents of color here. I understand following rules but if you are a concern parent and try to talk to your childs teacher without a appointment the campus police will be called immediatly. Now I am not sure if this has happened to others but it happened to me which makes me very uneasy about my childs future here.

The schoolis exceptional now. The Orchestra has a new and better teacher this year and hopefully will preform better now. The chariot and band are still the best fine arts in the school with band winning the UIL contest. The sports are very good with both girls and boys water polo teams going to state( only the girls won state). The 2012-2013 varsity football team is very good starting off with a 6-0 (2-0) record. The first time a CCHS football team has won 6 games in a row. There are very little problems as far as physical violence and the student body is very friendly to others. The school recently lost a lot of students due to te opening of two new high schools ( Clear Falls and Clear Springs ). So now in stead of the 4-5K students on the campus there are about 2,050 students attending Creek. This has led to smaller amounts of students. ( the smallest # of kids in my class is 20. Most of the teachers there are very good and the AP courses are of course very challenging. The engineering department has worked with NASA via the HUNCH program to build prototypes for the International Spaxe station for some time now. The school is a great place to be and I love it here Seniors 2014!

As a parent, I am very disappointed with the teacher quality at this school. I would estimate that 75% of the teachers spend class time talking about topics unrelated to the subject matter, are not capable of explaining the topics in depth, or unfairly favor certain student demographics over others. My son attended elementary and intermediate school in the same school district and the teachers there were much better than the teachers at this high school.

Yes, the Fine Arts Program is the best around. At least the choir. The Clear Creek High School Symphonic Choir has been invited to sing for TMEA convention 4 times and the ACDA National Convention 3 times (both HUGE deals). Their Chamber ensemble has taken first place for the past 3 times they have competed in the American Classic Madrigal and Chamber Choir Festival. They also hold the record for the most TMEA All-Staters from one school in the entire state, 13. The Clear Creek Choir program holds up a standard of excellence like no other.

Outstanding school. VERY diverse student body, teachers and staff. Dedicated and involved teachers and staff, if the student wants them involved. If you WANT to succeed, you are given EVERY opportunity. My son (Class of 2009) was in the Fine Arts school, and currently enjoys a 90% College scholarship because of it. Anyone saying the Fine Arts is lacking is GREATLY mislead. Current son is an athlete and enrolled in the Engineering school. He is doing wonderful. His mother and I have always been involved in school and activities. We always meet with the teachers at the Open House, and stay in contact with them throughout the year. Anyone with negative comments most likely are not involved, do not know the facility and staff, and most likely hear the bad comments from their student who blame everyone else for their bad grades, etc. Terrible parent involvement. I guess children are not that important to some people. Perfect example was the parent that blamed all the other parents for not taking her child to band camp!!!
