We have been part of this Montessori school community for the past 10 years, and it has truly become like a second home to our family. All five of my children have attended here, and I can confidently say it has been one of the best decisions weve made for their education and development.

The teachers are absolutely incrediblenot only are they knowledgeable and dedicated to the Montessori philosophy, but they genuinely care about each child. Over the years, theyve become like family to us. They take the time to understand each child as an individual, nurturing their independence, confidence, and love of learning in such a thoughtful way.

What really sets this school apart is how authentically it follows the Montessori method. Its one of the most traditional Montessori environments you will find in Houston, and that consistency and integrity in the approach truly shows in the children.

Im so grateful for the impact this school has had on my kids and our family as a whole. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a nurturing, respectful, and truly enriching Montessori experience.

As both a new parent in the school system and a first-time mother, finding the right environment for my child, younger than 1.5 years old, was challenging. However, I can confidently say that choosing Montessori Villa was the right decision. Mrs. Maria guided me through this new chapter, helping me understand that every child adapts at their own pace.

Mrs. Marias communication is extraordinary. During my kids transition to school, she sent videos so I could see his progress firsthand. She is always responsive to my questions and truly makes you feel like part of a team. She understands that by understanding my child, she is supporting me as well.

This isn't just a place where you drop your child off for a few hours; Mrs. Maria deeply understands attachment and the emotional bond between parent and child. She balances kindness with firmness perfectly. She takes the time to learn each child's preferences, strengths, and weaknesses, ensuring they feel comfortable and develop a sense of exploration. It is evident that she has extensive experience in Montessori education. Personally, she goes above and beyond, working one-on-one with my child even on weekends, to help him integrate into the school environment. When we relocated to The Woodlands, we thoroughly researched and toured several Montessori schools in the area. Our first meeting with Ms. Maria left us in awe. It was an incredible experience to meet a teacher who exuded such compassion and genuine care for our childs well-being. Ms. Marias unique blend of sternness and empathy made it an effortless decision for us to choose Montessori Villa as our sons school. Moreover, it proved to be the best choice, as not only does he thoroughly enjoy his time at school, but he is also thriving in his growth and development. The environment is peaceful, purposeful, and full of kindness. The children work quietly and respectfully, guided by their natural curiosity and interests at their own pace. We were blessed to have found Montessori Villa. After researching numerous schools, we made the decision to have our kids attend Montessori Villa and we couldnt have made a better decision. Mrs. Maria, Ms. Nashaba, Ms. Isabel and Mrs. Lynn are excellent educators, and they give the children the tools needed to grow to their full potential. Montessori Villa of The Woodlands has been a dream come true for our family! After having a prior negative experience with a local daycare, we were hesitant to try and find somewhere we felt safe sending our son. MV has exceeded our expectations in every way! Weve seen growth in our son at home and are in awe at his independence, even at age 2. The guides at MV have been engaged with us as parents and we work as a team to ensure our son is on the right track. Their approach to teaching, we believe, will set him up for a future of success. The most important thing as a parent is to see your child safe and happy where they spend the majority of their day and weve seen both of those things in our son. He loves his classmates, guides, and feels comfortable in the environment they provide. From a parent standpoint its refreshing to work with a school that is organized and direct with their communication and expectations of the parents. Everything from start to finish has been fantastic. We are lifelong MV parents for our son, and all our future kiddos. We could not recommend them enough!

This school has been a huge blessing to our family. The teachers go above and beyond for their children. Ive had 2 children attend this school since 2021. My favorite part of this school is seeing the different age groups working with and learning from each other. I can feel at ease knowing my active son has flexibility where he does his work. Because of this, I saw his love for learning grow quickly. He started wanting to sound out words and learning place value at age 3. The community at this school is unlike any other - were diverse in our backgrounds but all completely appreciate the independence and unity us and our children all feel at this school. Ms. Maria goes above and beyond for her students and families. The biggest blessing weve experienced for our kids education is hands down, Montessori Villa.

Montessori Villa is an outstanding early education center. Kids learn all the necessary academics and are also supported in developing social and emotional skills according to their age and unique personality. Mrs. Maria and the entire staff understand how to help each child reach their highest potential by getting to know each one of them. Education extends from the children to their entire family, ultimately benefiting the community that the school creates.

This is not a massive education center with too many children and families at the same time. Instead, it is a place where faces become familiar and shared learning values are embraced. Children love going to school, and Mrs. Maria personally invests time to help each child and their parents transition through each stage. Children learn a wealth of things and can expand their interests from gardening to math while being independent, assertive, and excellent team players.

This is, by far, an excellent place to start your journey as a parent.

Ms Maria and Montessori Villa have been absolutely amazing. I have two children who both started around the age of 3. I trust this team whole-heartedly. They watched and listened to my children and guided each of them based on their unique interests.
Ms. Marias communication is stellar. I knew what was going on with both children and if I ever had any questions she was quick to respond. Weve recently moved and leaving this school was one of the most challenging aspects to our move.

I cannot say enough to describe the positive impact this school has had on my son. Great care is taken to meet each child where they are emotionally/academically on a day to day basis. You can feel the organic cadence of the day as you drop off in the morning and my son is genuinely excited about school. The teachers truly understand the background and principles Maria Montessori has laid out for child development. This school is not "Montessori-inspired" - it is the REAL DEAL. Our community is beautifully curated and a genuine second family for my child. His foundation that he is now learning upon was so carefully planned and executed over time. The school is privately owned and intentionally small. If you are thinking about enrolling in a Montessori program, RUN - don't walk, to snag any open spots they have.

Montessori Villa has my highest recommendation. Our daughter is in her fourth year with one more to go. In that time we have seen tremendous growth academically, socially and emotionally. This school has been one of the best decision made for my daughter. Ms. Maria and all the teachers helped from the beginning with my childs separation anxiety and she quickly overcame her fears and now loves going to school.

All the activities here are targeted for helping kids learn their social and emotional skills, to be kind and respectful human beings. Couldnt say enough wonderful things about this school, only sad that we have to leave due to our move. Thank you Ms. Lynn, Isabel, Ms. Maria and all the wonderful teachers.

Montessori Villa is an outstanding school! We have moved from Chicago and no Montessori school has compared to the quality of MV.

I had one child attend this school, from age 18 months through 1st grade (age 7.5).

I am blown away by the beautiful cursive writing of our son.

There is no reliance on iPads and this brought me such joy! The children learn concepts in meaningful and comprehensive ways rather than simply rote memorization, iPad apps or worksheets. I especially love the way Mrs. Maria breaks down math, reading and writing. The physical environment is a delight with big, windows and high quality materials. I also loved that my child was consistently able to go outside to play, regardless of the weather--they learned how to bundle up on their own and outside time is essential for child development. The guides, such as Mrs. Naushaba, Mrs. Maria and Mrs.Lynn, have been there for many years and love the children as their own. If anyone lives in the area I cannot recommend this school enough.

I arrived in 2018 and I was searching for a school for my 3-year-old son.
It's been 5 years and my time in US is nearly ended.
My son is now 8 years old having spent 5 years in the Montessori and I have my daughter who continued the journey for Montessori from 18 months to 3 years.
I love the fact they are learning life skills and are having ownership of their school and love to go.
I remember a time when son told me that he does not need me to walk to the gate he can go by himself. That was about when he was 4 years. I could see the fondness he had.
Some disclaimers
When I started the journey with the school I was initially hesitant.
The main director I felt wasn't very easy to approach.
Then over time I realized the first priority and the only priority for her is the kids and my initial impression was not accurate.
The parents need to work with her to ensure the kids get a consistent message both at school and at home.
It is possible that the school may not be for everyone.
However I can only say that the children are well taken care of and you can see the change in them when they attend.
I would recommend doing an observation at the school to see how the kids work which I believe will enable you to trust the process and have more confidence.

In all seriousness, this school has been amazing for our kids. The teachers create a supportive environment that encourages exploration and personalized learning. I appreciate that the kids arent just sitting at a desk all day, theyre moving around as they work. Our son has learned so much and comes home excited every day. They truly understand the unique needs of each child, and tailor their instruction accordingly. Our second son has recently joined and the transition has been great. Its great to attend a school that you trust with your children. We highly recommend Montessori Villa.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS SCHOOL! The teachers are fantastic. The class instruction is organized and the instruction plan is true to the Montessori teachings. My son has been attending the school since 21 and we could not be more pleased with our decision to send him here. The curriculum that this school follows is absolutely amazing. He has been developing exceptional skills in geography, early math and reading preparation, etc. The school is small, but likes a loving big family! Mrs. Maria, the schools director, is completely committed to providing a warm and nurturing environment for children. My son cannot wait to leave for school every morning. Cannot believe before attending this school, my son always cried and didnt want to go to the preschool. We are absolutely thrilled to have found an environment that is allowing our son to flourish and preparing his for his future education, while at that same time providing an opportunity to have fun with the friends he has made. If you are looking for a pre-school for your child, do not think twice about Montessori. And if you are thinking Montessori, Montessori Villa of the Woodlands is the way to go!

We love Montessori Villa!! This school has really been such a blessing for us to have found, attend and be a part of. Truly a Montessori school from the inside out, which has been hard to find! When searching for a Montessori school, our desire was really to just find a school that actually practiced the philosophy and not just carry the name Montessori. Through this school we have found that but so much more.

The teachers here are hands down absolutely amazing. Each and every one of them really foster your childs self development while being so nurturing and warming.
I remember asking about my childs particular development in his hands and how he was holding his pencil. Honestly, I wasnt expecting much of an answer and maybe that it will be something he just grows out of. Instead, I was blown away by how much she had observed my child, knew so much detail about his hands beyond pencil grasping but how he opened things and how she was working on different ways to develop his hand muscles through work and play. Which has improved so much beyond handwriting since attending and I now am left with a more thorough understanding of hand and muscle development for my other children.

My children are thriving from this environment and so are we as parents.
I cannot say enough great things about this school. We absolutely love it here.

Our daughter has been with the school a year and a half already in the toddler class and she loves to go to school. With the Montessori philosophy, teachers gain the interest of the kids constantly thru activities that keeps them focused, learning vocabulary, behavior, manners, socializing, exploring, in a peaceful, loving environment. Teachers are so dedicated, profesional and truly sensitive at the same time. Parent s orientation is a great tool to help us learn to better guide our kids and integrate home, with what they learnt at school.
Highly recommended for its meaningful education. We can see how what is learnt at school, influences our daughters personality and character. Its very rewarding to see the whole staff doing its best every day. Beautiful community

My daughter is 22 months and LOVES going to school. She has only been there for three months and it seems like more: she have learned so much, her vocabulary, manners and motor skills.
Personally I feel guided in my parent journey, never judged and within a community focused on bringing out the vest of our kids and ourselves as families. I really love how diverse Montessori Villa is. I will really recommend this school.

Montessori is not just about materials and furnitures, but it is the adults/teachers in the environment that truly matters. Both of my boys (3y and 5y) have been here for a year and this school was the best choice that Ive ever made. So far the best montessori school in the woodlands area. It is a small school where Ms Maria and her staff follows true montessori philosophy to create a beautiful and peaceful environment for kids to live, learn and grow. I am so glad to see my kids enjoy their school life everyday and growing to be such great little humans. Parents education classes are very helpful. And very easy parent-teacher communication and too. Both my child and I love this place. Highly recommend this school to any parents who are looking for a true montessori school in this area.

Our daughter attended Montessori Villa for 3years and we couldn't have been happier with the experience. We were very sad to go after she finished 1st grade. We attended 2 other Montessori schools in the midwest before moving to Texas, and this school is by far the best. While at Montessori Villa, our daughter has excelled in all areas from math, reading, geography, life sciences and more. Beyond that, she is so confident in herself and I attribute much of that to Montessori Villa and the teachers! My daughter still surprises me with things she learned while there. Our son had been at home since covid started. I was fortunate to work from home for his first year and a half. We were looking for a montessori that aligned with our expectations for our son. MV is an incredible and unique school. We toured other montessoris but they did not follow the montessori model. MV truly follows the authentic montessori model. Ms. Maria and the teachers are truly AMAZING. My son is thriving and we couldnt be more pleased with the school. He enjoys going to school everyday. We love MV!

My children started Montessori school in Midland Texas. Last year we found ourselves in Houston and trying to find some thing similar to what we had already experienced. I searched several different Montessori schools in the area and had enrolled my child into a local program. My children highly disliked it and even though they said they were similar to Montessori, it was not true at all so I finally pulled them out of the school after I found Montessori Villa of The Woodlands! They were exactly what I was looking for and more. The school is like a little cottage out of the fairytale. The children garden, theres flowers everywhere, everything looks so well taken care of and loved, the area is beautiful and natural. My children struggle with change and of course had some difficulty going to a new school but Maria made sure to assist in their transition and showed us the importance of respecting the child and their boundaries. She worked with each of my children individually and now it is their favorite place to go. Maria has gone above and beyond for me and my children. She takes into account what is going on in the childs life and helps the parents with assisting the child through those changes. My four-year-old has learned so much and thrives. He is already doing math and can write letters in cursive. My two-year-old toddler is already joining his brother in the older classroom . Maria understands the bond between my two sons and if the youngest one wants to be with the older one, she allows it. All of the teachers are amazing. Miss Lynn, Isabel and Miss Mihed. I could never have thought of or asked for such a good school. It is a true Montessori school and has been around for a long time. The school puts on various events. Festival of nations is the best. Each of the kids get to represent different countries and cultures from around the world and a lot of them from their own families. The Christmas recital is so much fun. My son is constantly coming home with wonderful stories about school and new things that he learned. I love that it is an intimate atmosphere. There are only two classrooms. The children are always so calm and if it seems quiet, its because the kids are content with the work that they are doing not because they are in fear of anybody or being told to be quiet. Its truly a wonderful environment.

Our 3 years old son started school around 4 months ago. He is our only child and has only been with my parents for a couple of hours for a handful of times other than that it was just us and him so of course I was his best friend, he just wanted his Mama all the time. Naturally, when it came to choosing a school I wanted a place that was not your conventional sitting in the class from morning to afternoon with only a few minutes of outdoor play. We were also very concerned of not just dropping him off to a new place one morning and expecting him to just deal with it.
Our search ended with MV. One phone call and 45 minutes of observation later, I was completely sold. I knew this was the place I can trust my son with. The thing we loved the most and the toughest part was the transition period which I couldn't find in most other schools. Maria makes sure that a child is given the same respect as an adult and his boundaries are respected. Initially, my son was there with me, then without me for a couple of minutes to finally a point where he knew Maria and would just leave the car trusting her.
What started with him crying not to go to school because of course it was a new place and new people for him, to now where he cries on the weekends for me to take him to school it was all due to the efforts of Maria and her team.

They have been amazing with my child. They knew he isn't used to being around other kids for long or being in a disciplined environment and they made sure to work with it. If he wants to water the plants then that's what he does. The option for the child to work outdoors as well as indoors is so liberating.
Our son is now much more social and independent. Only 4 months and we can already see a HUGE change in him. I have nothing but great things to say about this place and the teachers. I am always sharing my experience with other Moms and highly recommend everyone to check this place out at least once when choosing a school for your kid.

Montessori Villa came highly recommended from friends whose child attended and it has not disappointed at all. At home, we were already trying to incorporate practical life skills learning appropriate to our little one's age (ie-sorting his laundry out of the pile, refilling his water cup, etc), but his own realization of his capabilities has grown so much since starting at Montessori Villa. From the first day, he was excited to go and stay and then eagerly looked forward to the next school day. He also more readily advocates for himself and enjoys transferring his newly realized skills at home. We really feel that this is a true Montessori school, with students able to choose from ability appropriate activities in a space that has been laid out with care. It is simple, but effective and is a welcoming space. Ms. Maria has an uncanny knack for knowing exactly what is going on and really gets to know each individual personality in her classroom. She is a true believer in the Montessori method of educating and is passionate about the environment she, and the staff, provide for the students. We are also extremely happy with the opportunities the students have to spend outside and consider ourselves blessed to have found the school.

We moved our children to this school from another Montessori school and couldnt be happier. Ms. Maria embodies Montessori philosophy through and through. Let me explain a little. A school can be set up to appear Montessori but if the example (the adult) in the room doesnt embody it, it becomes close but not really the real thing. Montessori Villa of The Woodlands is everything I have ever learned and read about. The space is a properly, simply prepared Montessori environment and the children couldnt be happier. I have watched my children explode with material learned, self pride, and are growing into amazing little humans, all because of this school. Parents equally gain a Montessori education in the Parenting classes or by the information provided on the ig page, (who I have a family member in NC following to learn from). Maria has a way of teaching us parents as we go. I can go on and on about all the other stuff that most of the other reviews said. I second all of them. I felt like sharing this perspective as to why I love this school.

Finding this gem might be what Im most thankful for this year. Honestly, I think my daughters childhood is all the better for having this early experience. I have always felt strongly that Montessori school is the best possible education a young child could get. But Ms. Marias school goes beyond my best hopes. It feels like a home away from home. I have never once felt reluctant to drop my tiny toddler off at school for the day. I know that all her needs are being met in a way that I couldnt fully mirror at home, even if I wasnt a working mom. I know my daughter is getting a strong foundation. She will have wholesome memories from her first school experience.

I work as an art teacher at the Montessori Villa of the Woodlands and I love every minute of it. Ms. Maria is an incredible teacher and I love working with her. She is no-nonsense and the kids love her. I personally have worked with kids for over a decade and this is the best establishment Ive ever worked at; both for the kids and as an employee. Ms. Maria holds true to the Montesorri teaching standards and encourages the kids to push themselves in their learning and have fun. Outstanding!

This is a true-to-philosophy Montessori preschool in a no-frills villa tucked away in a quiet corner of Spring/The Woodlands. What struck us first when we went to observe their classroom was just how deep in concentration each child was at what they were doing. It was this skill with which the children were redirected to their work and big emotions respectfully managed that got us interested.

Maria and her team followed our 20-month-olds needs with genuine respect and patience in the months to come. The space they have created fosters a genuine love for learning in children as there is no rushing, no forcing - just an environment that allows them to follow their interests as they emerge, and a bunch of other children who truly enjoy helping each other.

The school also does particularly well at integrating parents into their childs development - open and easy communication with the teachers, cozy parent education coffee sessions, a community of parents where one feels a sense of true belonging are some examples that come to mind. They are interested in the childs life outside of home so they can respond and support him/her as needed in their hours at school.

Our son LOVES the school and talks about it even now after we have relocated to another continent and he attends another Montessori school.
