Principal needs education on how to work with children with disabilities. They cover for teachers, sweep under the rug. Assistant Principal no better. Stay away from this school! It went way down hill when new admin came in!

amazing school with quality teachers. My children have attended Nolanville for 4 years now and we have been happy each year.

Our expierence at Nolanville was top notch! We had to leave at year 3 and have something to compare to and we had no idea how great we had it at this Elemntary school! We are currently trying to get back there so our kids can finish the last few years out in this wonderful school!

I think there is serious problem at this school in regard to equitable treatment. I've noticed that black kids are disciplined disproportionately and are too often sent to ISS for infractions that could be handled differently. Instead of making the effort to figure out what makes students tick and how to get them excited and motivated to learn they constantly threaten students with alternative school. They are failing to do their jobs and using alternative school as a crutch! They seem to have conveniently forgotten that Alternative School is for the most serious of cases and most 8, 9 and 10 year olds simply do not belong in that environment. Some of these teachers and administrators have forgotten the importance of what they do ( molding impressionable minds) and they need to go home! Their intolerance for kids who are different and who don't fit into their little boxes is deplorable! Avoid this school!!!

My sons love this school. Great staff and teachers. The principal is very hands on with the teachers and students. She takes her time to communicate with the parents. Great learning environment!

I have two kids that go here, kinder and 2nd. We come from another school in KISD and have been going here for almost a year now. I thought the last school was great, but I didn't have anything to compare it to, however this school is amazing. The staff is friendly and you can tell the teachers are happy to be there. They even have a PTA and they are amazing. This school offers so much more than their last. Kindergarten graduation and pics, yearbooks, parents can sit with kids at lunch anytime, end of year festival...I could write a novel. I'm up at the school all the time because my daughter has a medical condition that requires me to be and the office staff have always been incredibly friendly and helpful. The nurses are truly amazing. We love this school and feel so fortunate to be able to go here!

This is a truly great school, and I believe that most of your good or bad experience is based on the teacher that you have. My daughter's second grade teacher was amazing, 3rd grade was not good at all, but now in 4th grade she is doing amazing again. My daughter has Aspergers and they work well with her. Getting the kiddos after school is horrible. Parents don't pay attention to the "Don't get out of your car," sign, LoL. I really do like this school all in all, the office staff can be friendly, so they aren't too bad to deal with.

Both of my sons have attended this school for the last four years. They absolutely love it. The teachers and staff care about the students. My son's teachers have done a fabulous job teaching the cirriculum. Hands down it is THE best elementary school in the area. P.S. My son is dyslexic and the dyslexia program is great.

We are a military family and this is our 8th elementary school total. Nolanville is hands down the best school my sons have ever attended. We will be sorry to move on. Their TAG (gifted) program is excellent! My son has learned more here than any other school and has been very happy with all the extra programs such as musicals and student council activities. The teachers have been wonderful. Contrary to other reviewers, the principal is always pleasant and approachable and she seems to be very involved in all that goes on in the school. I highly recommend this school to incoming military families!

This school's highlights include wonderful P.E. and music programs, accelerated reader program, and awesome PTA! Hopefully, leadership will improve with new year.

As stated in many comments it's true that if your child has needs such as mine has ADHD. You are treated almost hostile. All three teachers he's had here have made him feel like he's worthless. The assistant principle has actually threatened my EIGHT year old child about Alternative school. They offer no assistance for special needs. It is a very strict environment and I know two other parents who have taken their children out to home school because this school leave a bad taste in your mouth. I'm sure that if your child can sit still and focus you might like it, but if your child is in anyway talkative or hyper or unable to focus this is NOT the school for you. It will be your worst nightmare trying to deal with the teachers and the principle.
