It has a horrible cleaning problem, the bathrooms are always messy and there's always ants in the cafeteria.

Driving by the school in daily commutes, appear to be very well maintain and effectively managing space.

They have terrible leadership skills above all.

This is an overall horrible school they have no good homework assignments for us to do. I would never send my kids here.

Some of the teachers are great, but there's one in particular that I didn't like at this school. She gave me a hard time about my weight and other things.

They don't have respect for alot of the special needs kids at this school and some of the kids don't have respect for the elder teachers either. Their PAL program is great though.

Over crowded this year and I was told by administration the enrollment next year will increase! The parking lot is already very congested and dangerous! I'm horrified for my kid to drive to Taft/comm Arts! The next two years will be difficult for teachers and students being overcrowded until the new high school opens.

I was only there for my freshman year. Taft can be a really a great school or can be a really bad school..it all depends on the crowd you hang out with. Sadly, the crowd I was in ,had a strong spark in my life. I felt Tafts drama was intense but nothing I couldn't handle. And I strongly believe that in highschool, you find out who you are, what your capable of, and it's all just an experience. Experiences are lessons, lessons are a part of life. Taft has lots of diversity n will give your child or you an opportunity to be aware of peoples beliefs and culture. Building memories. Building expensive.

I'm a student attending Taft high school, I also am a member of the band. Yes, the practices are long and intense but this isnt middle school, we have more competitions and we could possibly even go to state this year, Mr. Solis told everyone that year was going to be different. Band isn't mandatory if you're not able to handle the homework and practices (we dont have both morning and afternoon practice so there's plenty of time) your child can always get out of it if he dislikes it so much. 300 other band students handle both academics and band so I don't think there's a problem.

This school is way over crowded! Fortunately, my kid attends ComArts, which is next door, but my kid has to go to Taft for electives and lunch. The one elective is band....so disorganized! My kid had to wait 5 hours to get fitted for a uniform and another 3 hours to get shoes and locker. Also, the practice schedule is too intense and interferes with their academics. My concern fell on deaf ears, when I contacted the band teacher. He doesn't care and puts winning competitions above the needs of the students. My kid loved band until moving to this school. So, be aware if your kid wants to be in the band. They don't follow the online schedule and add practices to an already full schedule.

Taft embodies the warmth and charm of a small town community. Friendly; from administration to teachers to students. My daughter is in her first year of high school. Freshman orientation was great! It offered the right amount of hand holding yet with enough learning opportunities for both me, as a parent, and my daughter, as the student to navigate on our own to become familiar with the new high school environment. When we had questions, anyone, everyone was there to answer them for us. A solid good school.
