I’ve gone to this school for 1 1/2 years and but in those in those years I have been bullied twice. Now I am a quiet student and I’ve never really talked or been mean to anyone, so it really makes me frustrated. When I was in this school I got bullied for the first time by multiple kids and thankfully it was resolved. Unfortunately I can’t say the same for the next bullying incident… I am not gonna go into depth but, after i told the counselor about it and me and my parent even asked for footage but never got any. Now i’ve already gotten depression from school but now it is also from bullies. Fortunately now i am moving to a new school to make friends and just kinda start over. I would gladly say that most of the teachers are wonderful and helpful. As well as the extracurricular classes such as band or choir are great. Overall i would say that the school is alright the teachers are good but the kids are a lot of the problems WHEN it comes to bullying and stuff like that. I would sort of recommend this school but not really…

My son has been going to Longfellow for 3 years he has been bullied all 3 years he comes home with scratches and bruises daily ive reported it to the vice principal Norma Gonzalez but all she cares about is being friends with the students and being really friendly with the school cop pena theres been so many incidents and the administrators dont care. There was an incident that a student broke my son's medical device in a classroom and the teacher didn't see or hear anything (yeah, right) and the school cop pena was lazy and didn't care to file a police report until 5 months later. Which left my family and me to pay for his medical device out of pocket. The students weren't held accountable for their actions because the school cop was lazy and didn't think it was a priority. All the SAISD said that I have to settle everything through court and washed their hands with it. The vice principal or the school cop never set up a meeting to talk to me in person about the case they wouldn't even respond to any emails and/or phone calls. Even on the police report pena put the wrong amount of the medical device just because he didn't care. This school, administrators, counselors, and the school cops are horrible people.

this school has to be one of the best schools that ive ever attended this school was very caring and very nice to me and my feelings they were always on point about everything the admins were very very Nice and respectful the teachers were very helpful and always there for me as a student.overall this school would get a 10 out of 10 from me because the school is just that good its always been on top of things and in order I will gladly say that the other mean comments don't know what they talking about cs I went there personally and I had the most best and most memorable experience at this middle school.

I'm gonna be honest, I've been begging my parents to let me start homeschooling because this school makes me feel uncomfortable and unsafe with how much the teachers and staff don't actually care about bullying or harassment. The only parts of that school that I'll miss is my friends, choir teacher, and choir itself. Being at school honestly scares me at times because of how other kids act either just being rude, or straight up creepy making very inappropriate, disgusting jokes. One of my teachers defended a boy who was getting cussed out because he joked about how he was going to SA my friend. The school itself is okay, but the teachers, students, and staff make it a very uncomfortable and unsafe environment. I hardly learn anything there.

I hate to send my kids to school everyday. This school is just an overall bad environment . The kids that attend can be so mean and my kids often get bullied. Administration really doesn't do much to help the kids that go there to truly learn and do good. I'm a very active in the school and I see the way some staff members don't care it seems to me that they are there simply to collect a pay check. We need to clean house and get new administration . The only one that cared about the kids was Mr Lopez and its sad he is no longer there. Don't send your children to this school. I myself am looking to home school because of this school.

My daughter attended Longfellow for 3 years. The staff truly cares for the student. All the faculty is quick to respond to any concern. My daughter is now attending Travis Early College High School and she owes this opportunity to all the faculty and staff at Longfellow.

I have been attending this middle school since the 6th grade, and I could not be more impressed. Our band is a hard working, dedicated group. Its no wonder they have held their legacy for almost 11 years now. We have recently become a National AVID Demonstration site which is not only beneficial to the students participating in AVID, but to everyone who atttends this school. Another outstanding group of spartans are our LOTC cadets, who were ranked 1st place for best marching band at the Veretans Day Parade in 2011. I, as an AVID student and LOTC cadet, would like to thank Ms. Lori Latiolais, Srg 1st Class Darden and Ms. Judy Check for being a great support in my academics. I am proud to be a Longfellow Spartan.

It's so sad to see students be sooooo dis-respectful to all of the staff. and they dont even do anything about it!!!!! Something needs to be done!!!!!!

They don't have good electives and the one you might want for your child is full and they put them in whatever they want.

The main problem I have with this school is its disciplinary environment. I have urged them to find a way to combat the violent environment. The halls are for the most part unmonitored. The school security is overly friendly with some of the kids and turns a blind eye on others. A peer mentor program or a hall monitoring program in which the kids are involved may help. the kids wander the halls seemingly at will and after school there are groups of kids everywhere not for a few minutes but for several hours. Dispersing the children from school ground could help also. There are some darn good teachers there but they appear to be swayed by the kids almost afraid. I will say that the principle, vice principle and head counselor are trying. Good bless them.
