I have had 2 children graduate from Christ Academy and they have not only excelled after high school, but they were ready for the next step going into college. They learned more than academics. They learned how to know what their strengths were, they learned how to reach out to professors and ask for help, they learned about taking charge of their education. They had the support from the teachers every step of the way. Their foundation they learned at CA has been grounded them for their future. We are very pleased with the program at Christ Academy.

My experience as a student at Christ Academy was nothing short of amazing. I attended from kindergarten to 12th grade and am who I am because of it. Being raised in a Christian setting contributes to my faith today; I am grateful for my foundation in God's truth and Jesus' love. The high school program seems to sway many people from choosing CA: let me tell you that I was so prepared for college (maybe overprepared). It has gotten even better since I graduated; it is incredibly flexible and teaches so much personal responsibility. I had no issues with time management, studying for midterms and finals, and prioritizing work; that is all due to the skills I learned through the high school program at Christ Academy. I went on to a Tier 1 research university and maintained a 3.7 GPA. At Christ Academy, I was highly involved with Student Council: our voices were heard and our ideas respected. I realize Christ Academy doesn't have the extracurriculars or sports that some wish to participate in; however, I urge those people to place in perspective what will help them in the future (hard to do, I know). I wouldn't trade my time at CA for anything. I am still friends with the people I went to school with for so many years; they are like family to me. I am grateful for the relationships I formed with parents, teachers, and my fellow students; I am better because of them.

Making the change to Christ Academy was the best decision we ever made for our children. They have grown and flourished in the one full year they’ve attended Christ academy, more than they had at other schools they had been at for years. My only regret was not making the switch sooner. The teachers are such a blessing and are always updating our children's progress. The families at Christ academy welcome you as if they are your own family. I can not recommend this school enough.

Christ Academy offers an outstanding education for the all ages, 3K-12th grade. The teachers, administration and support personnel care about each child, as well as your family as a whole. They are vested in your child's education and encourage them to flourish. Christ Academy is truly a family oriented, Christian school.

I have 3 kids that attend Christ Academy, and one of them was recently diagnosed with dyslexia. The school has been amazing in supporting her and making accommodations to help her overcome her learning disability. She was not held back, in fact they advised against it. I am thankful for the small classroom size, the caring teachers and the school's dedication to all of my children, but especially my daughter with dyslexia.

There are some good teachers at this school, and there are some bad ones, like anywhere else. The teachers are not provided enough training. They have a difficult time obtaining substitutes. My first grader once spent the day in kinder when his teacher was out sick.

Most of the students are well behaved. However, there are no real consequences for bad behavior.

Posted: December 13, 2018

The principal is extremely nice and seems to truly care. The remaining leadership is more concerned with the school's image than the actual learning that takes place. Can be arrogant and condescending at times.

My son was diagnosed as dyslexic in first grade - the school has zero support system in place. One teacher suggested learning disabilities originate from poor prenatal care.

Posted: December 13, 2018

My son was threatened by a classmate and told his teacher. The teacher did not believe him and the threats continued. During the summer program, older boys were playing "keep away" with the younger boys underwear on swim days and very little was done to stop it.

I'm a college professor - I thought I was choosing the best education for my son when we enrolled him at Christ Academy. We have since pulled my son out and put him in public school - what a world of difference. He has more instructional time, went from failing every spelling test to passing every test (and with harder words to spell). At CA, They spent entirely too much time playing (and don't be fooled - it was not educational playing) and not enough time learning. He advanced more in public school in 9 weeks than he did in two years at Christ Academy. I waited to write my review until I could compare the two. Christ Academy claims to be advanced and a school of excellence. My son's current public school is far more advanced than anything Christ Academy was doing. My son attended from EC3 through 1st grade. My son was diagnosed as dyslexic in 1st grade. Christ Academy had ended their dyslexia program. We were told he would need to repeat 1st grade as he wasn't passing the 2nd grade screening. I complained about the lack of transparency in the process, the marketing director agreed about the lack of transparency, but I was never told any additional information. The teachers are all very nice and do their best, but they lack adequate training. One even suggested to me that learning disabilities are due to a lack of proper prenatal care. The summer after 1st grade, before he started the summer program at CA, I worked with my son at home and got him reading his first books. He was so proud! Two weeks into the summer program, he came home completely deflated and told me he was a bad reader. It was clear they weren't a good fit for my son and could not give him the support he needed to succeed, but they still tried to talk us out of pulling him out and placing him in another school. They only have their own best interest at heart (in this case tuition money). Rather than admit they could not adequately support my son, they recommended something potentially harmful to his future (look up the statistics on retention - they aren't pretty). In his new (public) school, his teacher tells him how some of the smartest people are dyslexic and he gets the support he needs.

I'm extremely disappointed with Christ Academy. My son went to school for 4 years from EC3-1st grade. He struggled with reading and was diagnosed with Dyslexia and Christ Academy chooses to ignore what the leading experts say about holding a child back a grade for having it. Its a real shame as I feel like we cheated my son out of getting a real education by keeping him at Christ Academy. Their response was to hold him back and continue his tutoring rather then admitting they are unable to help him there.

This is our 3rd year at Christ Academy, and we have 4 children enrolled there. We and our children love Christ Academy! We have felt connected with every teacher our children have had there, and they do a great job of keeping us informed of our kids' progress and areas for improvement. In addition to the exceptional academic program there, CA is consistently adding new extracurricular programs for the children to be involved in. Teachers, staff, and administration are professional, kind, and more than helpful when we approach them with a need. I can't imagine our kids attending school anywhere else in the area!

We've been apart of the CA family for four years...being a military family that transition a lot the warm welcome was/is refreshing. The rigorous curriculum is challenging our children academically. The teachers are readily available and supportive. The administration is proactive and attentive. Very grateful for have our children in a godfearing environment!

Christ Academy has gone above and beyond to meet our child's needs. We are very pleased with the college-preparatory education they provide!

Christy Academy has been a blessing our daughter. The new administration is wonderful. They really know what they are doing. The teachers are caring. Christ Academy is now in the 21st Century teaching online classes. I would highly recommend Christ Academy.

Our daughter is in her second year at Christ Academy and we are so blessed to be apart of the Christ Academy family! From the moment you walk in you are treated with warmth, kindness and an overwhelming sense of community. Our daughter loves her teachers and we love that her academics are a step above the rest. She's in 4K and is already beginning to read and do addition! She even participates in the ballet academy that comes to school and the music program as well. Highly recommend Christ Academy! It is top notch!

It was a waste of time and money sending my children over there. We were very disappointed. My children were completely unhappy. The staff were only nice before we joined. After we enrolled, they treated us like trash. They keep changing their words, and for the mistakes they did, they accused parents of not doing things right. If I could go back to the past, I would never send my children to CA again.

I don't know why other reviews are good . We had terrible experience here. My children now go to public school, and the learning at public school is ahead of Christ Academy. They had hard times catching up. Please save your money, and your kids time and go somewhere else. This school only wants your money. My kid was scared of the teachers because they were mean.

My child had a horrible time at Christ Academy . Teachers and staff don't really care about you and your children. My child kept complaining that teachers did not give enough explanations. I needed to teach him at home almost everything.

Christ Academy is constantly exceeding my expectations of a school through their excellent teachers, curriculum and culture. I was never expecting to leave our children in private beyond preschool, but I find that what is being offered at Christ Academy is worth the investment! From education that is rigorous and focused on them to the culture that includes faith in Jesus Christ in every subject, this school has been great. I love the involvement and interaction of students with each other. The sports programs are expanding to include children of every grade level. There is an forward thinking approach to high school and middle school that makes Christ Academy the best place for college preparation in the area. As much as I might try, I can never convey in words how awesome the support and culture are driven by the teachers. They truly love their students, and my children absolutely love their teachers and school. In fact, they both beg for us to let them stay after school to participate in the after school programs and summer care programs.
