The environment here is calm, clean, and well-structured. The school does a great job with communication and hosting community events. Parking during peak times can be tricky, but overall, it’s a great place.

Enrolling our daughter at the Medical Center campus was one of the best decisions we’ve made. The location is incredibly convenient for working parents in the area, but what truly stands out is the quality of care and education. The teachers are patient, skilled, and genuinely invested in the children's success. Our daughter has thrived here—her language skills, independence, and curiosity have grown so much in just a few months. The Montessori materials are used beautifully to foster self-directed learning, and the environment is clean, calm, and well-maintained. We also appreciate the diversity and inclusivity that the school promotes. This campus has become like a second home for our child, and we are so grateful for the team here.

My daughter has been attending for over a year now, and the growth we’ve seen—academically, emotionally, and socially—has been phenomenal. The Montessori approach here isn't just a philosophy on paper; it's truly embedded in how the teachers interact with the kids daily.

The classrooms are warm, engaging, and designed to encourage self-exploration. What I especially appreciate is the individual attention each child receives—no one gets left behind. The school also puts strong emphasis on respect, discipline, and leadership, which aligns perfectly with our values at home.

Another standout is the level of transparency and communication with parents. The staff always keeps us informed, and they genuinely care about involving us in the child’s learning journey.

As a working parent in Houston, the flexible hours and safety standards here also give us complete peace of mind.

I’m incredibly grateful we found this school—and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to other families looking for more than just academics.

After enrollment, I sent them an email asking about the program. Almost one week passed, I wouldn't get any reply if I didn't ask them again and include more people in the email. Although they told me Email is their FIRST form of communication. I should I have noticed that all 'good reviews' on Google are more than 4 years old, and they don't allow anyone adding new reviews.

The teacher we interacted with assisted us in working through some difficulties our grandchild was having and the end result was very positive.

This school goes above and beyond to make sure each student knows the importance of having integrity, compassion and respect.

The school and its staff are a reflection of the leadership! At MSODT Clear Lake Campus, Director Tammy Mize is the best of the best!!! She clearly loves children and education and she is dedicated to making sure each and every child at her school has the best educational experience possible so they will excel in the future.

MSODT embraces every single child and I personally know they support students with learning differences because my grandson had some learning difficulties which they helped him to overcome.

Posted: June 20, 2018

We didn't experience any issues with bullying at this school at all.

Posted: June 20, 2018

The homework assignments help reinforce the work done in the classroom, and it also is not more work than the child can easily do on a school night.

Last year, my wife and I enrolled our grandson in kindergarten at the MSODT Clear Lake Campus. When the school year began, our grandson's short attention span was causing him to be easily distracted and he was having a very difficult time following instructions, staying focused, and being on task with his daily studies at school. The school's director, Ms. Mize, along with school personnel, were so attentive, patient and understanding in working with our grandson and us to help resolve these issues. When school began, our grandson's reading skills were below average. Now, however, he loves to read and on the end-of-school Stanford Achievement Test, he scored a 3.5 grade equivalent test result for total reading! We just learned this week that our grandson has been accepted for enrollment at a charter school...needless to say, we are thrilled and we credit Ms. Mize and the MSODT Clear Lake Campus staff with our grandson's amazing accomplishments! I highly recommend this school!!!

The staff is so loving and caring with our daughter. She started in the School of Infants and had some trouble in the transition and being away from me. Ms Meenakshi was so kind and helpful with that. She truly loves those children as if they were her own. We were amazed at how our daughter blossomed in that class and even more so as she moved into the Preprimary class. I'm an Elementary Educator with specialization in Early Childhood Education and have taught for 14 years, so I knew she would thrive, but at this school it has been incredible! Our daughter's knowledge at three years old continues to amaze us! That's all thanks to her teachers there and she has loved all of them.
The school is clean and well organized and I love how all of the staff, from the custodial crew with Ms Juana, to the teachers and directors, to Ms Shanna at the front desk, love on our daughter when they see her.
Their yearly fundraiser, the International Festival is incredible and so well organized to raise funds for the school. I don't know how Ms Meenakshi does that each year, it's overwhelming to think about what it takes for her to organize that each year and it is always done so well!
Our daughter is thriving in the Preprimary area
and we love the care and extent that Ms Hanan goes to to ensure that her teacher is meeting our daughter's needs and challenging her to learn and grow in such great ways. Overall the staff goes the extra mile, (from the SOI Director, Ms. Meenakshi to the Preprimary Coordinator Ms. Hanan, to Ms. Shanna) to help everybody.
As an educator I had the opportunity to work at the school as well and had just as great of an experience working there as I did as a parent. I worked in the School of Infants and the Preprimary classrooms and was impressed with all of the training, tools, and help made available to the staff thanks to the SOI and Preprimary Directors Ms Meenakshi and Ms Hanan and the school's Director, Ms Barbara. We have truly enjoyed our experience at this school and we love watching our daughter thrive in a school she loves!

The Montessori School of downtown Clear Lake has delivered a strong foundation for my children both academically and socially.
The director of School of Infants has done a wonderful job with my children. My husband and I have watched our children grow and excel within this school. We have complete trust in the teachers at this school to prepare our children for the future. We are consistently surprised at what our children are learning on a daily basis in core subjects such as reading and math and how much independence they have. The teachers instill confidence in the children as they transition from school of infants to pre-primary and on to Elementary. The tuition has gone up considerably in the past year but we chose to keep our children in the school because of the teachers.

My son has been going there for a year now. When he first started I was just going back to school and was worried about where and who I left him with. Everyone who knows my son always comment on how intelligent he is and how well he speaks for just being 2 and a half. Miss Meenakshi, Miss Sam, Miss Rita, Miss Tayyaba & Miss Yasmeen have done such an amazing job with him. He absolutely loves and trusts each and every one of them so much. The school has been more than helpful on different ways of "disciplining" him in our home life as well. I highly recommend MSODT Clear Lake to everyone I know. I am looking forward to the upcoming years and seeing how much my son grows and learns with Montessori!!

We absolutley love MSODT! Our first child attended there from the age one and a half up until he started public kindergarten, and our second child currently attends. Even as toddlers, the students start to learn how to read, count, speak Spanish, and interact kindly with one another, and the learning activities are so hands-on! Our son could read and write proficiently, and do basic math when he was 4- he was so far ahead when he started Kindergarten, and even now (he is a current 2nd grader) he sometimes comes home and says they learned something he remembers from Montessori! All the teachers know all the kids, and vice-versa; it is a place where the kids feel safe and loved. Parents can visit anytime, which is another plus. Would definitely recommend!

I have two boys enrolled in MSODT and they both love it! The teachers are very interactive with the children. My younger son started coming here at the age of 4 months and he is almost two now. His language skills and awareness are superior to that of my older son when he was the same age (my older son began school at 13 months albeit at another school). My older son has excelled as well since enrolling here -- and his confidence has grown with that as well. I highly recommend MSODT-Clear Lake.

Don t trust them. I had enrolled my child for afterschool two months before public school was scheduled to open. But the day before public school opened, Montessori of Downtown called me saying they will not be able to pick up my child from his public school because they don t have any other children from that school. The school locates less than 1 mile from Montessori! That gave me such a panic, I started calling all the afterschool programs in Webster area, but since the school was set to open next day morning all the other afterschool programs were full. Finally I had to sign up my child with the most expensive afterschool program in Webster area. I am paying 20 dollars more per week now. So don t ever trust Montessori school of Downtown. They are not trustworthy people. What they say they will do and what they actually do has day and night difference. They have only one goal: Make money. It s not a very hygienic place either.

This is a great school, providing early education with a wonderful staff of teachers. Not only do they teach ABC's but they also stress interactive activities with other students. Two of our great grandchildren have attended this school. One for through the second grade and one now attending as a toddler. You couldn't find a better school.

Montessori School of Downtown Clear Lake campus is an excellent school. My daughters loved going to school every day and learned a tremendous amount. They began at 2-1/2 and 1-1/2 years of age and we did the 3-day a week program. The girls were were given lessons in Spanish and computers using ipads. They performed in seasonal school programs and attended annual school fairs. They learned about using their manners and the school even aided in their potty training. We were there for 2 years and all of the teachers they had were exceptional. Their curriculum covered so many topics and the projects and crafts the girls came home with were fun and well thought out. The teachers and staff are very professional and take their jobs seriously. The school is run so well and everyone is always smiling and happy. The campus is very nice and filled with light and very welcoming. I cannot say enough about how much we all loved this school and highly recommend it. Six months after moving away I am still looking for a school to meet my expectations after experiencing such a wonderful time with MSODT Clear Lake.

Our oldest has been attending MSODT for 3 years now in the School of Infants program and has blossomed tremendously. I feel as though the academic program there has helped develop her strengths. At 18 months old, she could speak 3-4 times more words than other kids her age. She's learning Spanish and she's much more organized and tidy than I would expect children her age to be. The school has taught her so many skills that are essential in development. And at the end of the day, she has a good time and comes home happy. They seem to have a good balance of play and work and she really enjoys the special summertime activities at the splash pad as well. For the most part, the teachers are responsive when I call or ask questions. They really do seem to love and care for our children and have expressed this when we told them we were moving. Overall, we've had a good experience with this school.

Never again!!!! Do NOT send your child there. Very poor teaching level, uncertified teachers and untrustable staff in addition the principle is the worst person there. The only thing that she can do is to answer the phone and says her famous sentence I don t know !!!! and if you need further info about owner, he is . It was the worst school that I ever experienced with my kids

This school was the worst thing I could have done to my son. I am sorry he had to spend even five minutes in the presence of such incompetence and cruelty.
