hello, I am a parent of a Warwick student, the faculty members are unfair and unjust, they falsely suspend your student without proper cause, unless you are a certain race, then your reasoning doesnt matter. The teachers arent exactly up to par and Ive had to take my child out of a couple of classes due to the ignorance of the teachers the vice, principal and principal have no respect for parents, nor do they want to hear a parent side to a story and they choose whom they believe, also siding with another kid because theyre friends with that childs parent.. my child will no longer be attending the school if I can help it. They do not help with bullying. Like I said they are one-sided. So I would not suggest sending your child here unless you want them bullied and continually harass, whether be by a teacher or student..

They act like they are a Hampton district and got different rules then my old school Menchville high and took away my free periods because I need 3 SOLS and have one tomorrow morning I hate this school and I'm transferring

This school is absolutely horrible. Administrators are rather useless; they don't return calls or do their jobs. The bullying is out of control and half the kids walk in smelling like skunks. Daily weapons, fights and drug deals. The learning environment is non existent for anyone who actually wanta to try and learn. They can't even accommodate an IEP properly.

For the record, I am a parent of one WHS graduate and two current students. Your data is incredibly outdated. The principal you have listed hasn't served the school since 2013. You have reviews that are a decade old and no longer accurately reflect the school. Warwick is a dynamic school with a diverse student body. It is host to the International Baccalaureate Program and Governor's Health Science Academy as well as all of the AP and Honors course offerings in Newport News. There are many extracurricular activities, clubs and athletic teams that enrich student life. The administrators and faculty are always working for the best interests of the students. There is an active PTSA. The current Principal, Dr. Kellie Mason, began at Warwick in January 2019. This site needs to update its data.

I'm currently a rising junior in the IB program, and I think people underestimate Warwick. Yes, the students who aren't in the IB program might learn more at a different school, but the advantages and academics of IB highly outweigh the negatives of the rest of the school. Could it be better? Of course. Some teachers aren't the best, and you're on your own a lot. But that's the same as other schools who are ranked top tier. So give Warwick a chance, you might just like it :)

I have been a student at Warwick in the Pre-I.B. Program (International Baccalaureate) . I feel live I've learned things and managed to have some school spirit. I can honestly say that more often than not, I actually enjoyed my school day, and that is more than most high school students can say. Each day is interesting, to say the least. The expectations of students are beyond high in the I.B. program. Many of Warwick's sports teams are exceptional. Overall, Warwick High School is the place to be- needless to say, I will be continuing my education at Warwick in the I.B. Program.
