Spotswood has been a wonderful experience for our family and most importantly - our child. Academically - he has been challenged and has enjoyed learning. Student life has been very enjoyable and the athletic programs are outstanding. The Faculty is helpful and very supportive.

Math teachers can't even work problems on the board. They have to use fill in the blank notes and consider that to be teaching. They also refuse to acknowledge when a student is being blatantly bullied in their class because they don't want to do anything to stop it.

Students who behave badly and participate in bullying receive no consequences. There is also a serious drug problem at this school.

Unless it is physical, the principals won't do anything. Verbal bullying doesn't count. Harassment is allowed unless it is physical.

I have nothing good to say about this school. I have spent thousands on therapy for my child. I have finally had a transfer to another school across the county approved because the principals at this school will do nothing to stop the daily harassment and bullying of my child.

Horrible..They almost cost my child his diploma by not giving him English 12. It took almost a month into the school year to get it fixed.

Teachers are wonderful, but the student life is not one in which I'd want my children around. There are better options in Rockingham County, such as Broadway High School or even Turner Ashby High. I would not recommend Spotswood High.

This school is definitely a small town high school. There are very few programs available during or after school. There is only Advanced Placement Class available. This school will need to grow a lot to become a good school.
