My child started late this school year but we were met by such friendly staff. The kids were all amazing and welcoming to my child. He has had such an amazing school year.

The school is not that bad! What do you expect it is a title 1 school. The students live in the hood, and have not so educated parents with bad attitudes. The apple doesn’t fall that far from the tree.

This school has caused my kids to regress and have significantly more issues with school. They haven’t learned much of anything. The dean of student affairs would rather send a kid home than help a child cope and return to class. They preach no child left behind yet my kids constantly get left behind and don’t give and equal education. They loose legal binding documents and refuse IEP meetings to help children this is by far the worst school I’ve ever seen.

There are so many negative things I have to say about this school. I have a 4-year-old who attended preschool at Mac Ben, and he regressed drastically due to his teacher not being accommodating to sensory or knowing how to help. She also had such a dull personality that isn't made for teaching preschoolers The Special Education teachers in his class kept leaving so learning for him appeared to be minimal. He went from being excited to go to school to not wanting to at all for the first time since he started attending here. Also, within the 4 months, he attended this school, a student brought a bullet, and another student was lost for about an hour and no parents were notified, Luckily, he will not be going here this upcoming school year.

I have two kids who are in Mack Benn and they love it. The teachers were awesome last year during virtual learning and kept my kids engaged. New leadership has put MB on the right track to success.

My kids have attended this school virtually and in person and I have not had any problems. The teachers are engaged and care about student success.

The school has turned around since we have a new principal. I was considering withdrawing my children. The teachers care and give it their all. Mack Benn Does not get the credit it deserves.

I have three children that have been at this school since 2005. I've seen first hand this school go through some administration changes but haven't experienced anything negative with my children and their teachers. My children have been involved in almost all extra curricular activities that are available at the school and have been happy children. Their state exam test scores have always passed above average. I am particularly fond of the new dynamic principles that have teamed up with positive changes in the school. Mr. LaFevre and Mrs.Pichot.

Mack Benn, horrible learning. The teachers are moving at a fast paced the kids aren't giving the opportunity to grasp it. Every student doesn't learn at the same pace. All I hear is we have a lesson plan to cover....forget the lesson plan make sure the kids understand what they are learning. What about the students. How can a teacher have a test but doesn't send study guides home

This school is HORRIBLE!!!!!!! My children attend this school, and like most of these parents say the Admin is very RUDE!!!! The teachers don't take one on one with the students. My children will not go there next year.
