A joke of a school. Teachers do not engage with parents, my son hasn't been learning anything. He's in first grade and he comes home with pictures he's colored. The bus is a nightmare, they cannot get pickup or drop off time right or even the bus number. Sometimes the bus doesn't show up at all. I expressed my son was vegetarian to the school and what do they do? They feed him chicken nuggets. My son has come home with marks on his body, neck etc... and they're from other students but I have to try to pull it out of my son, because the teacher doesn't notify me when an issue like this happens. Worst school you can imagine. Barely accredited. Everyone from the teachers to superintendent to the bus drivers are seriously lacking in any intelligence whatsoever. Pathetic excuse of a school. I am disgusted by it

I'm absolutely thrilled to have my grandson attending. Its truly a wonderful school with caring teachers and staff.

The homework is weekly instead of nightly allowing for sports and after school activities. Very innovative!

A lot of schools are going with a No Homework Approach and the results in the student's grades have increased. I would like to see this implemented

The New Principal and Mr. Turner have made a great deal of a difference. The school is prospering and the Parents and I feel it. The pride is strong within Colonial Beach Elementary

My experience thus far is Amazing. The environment is lovely and the teachers make it great. My son has grown so much in such little time. He has made it clear he doesn't want to go back to his old school. The front desk attendants are lovely and very helpful, they always have a willing, helpful attitude and that is extremely vital in schools. I would say that I see this school becoming a go to school for the area and In the future, I hope for a Bigger Elementary that way all the Children of Colonial Beach can access and go to this Amazing School.

All of the teachers and staff are caring and willing to go out of their way for their students. The new school has created a fantastic learning environment!

We love how this Town has so much for the kids to do !! and rally around each other! We like to go the the High School games as a family, everything is just charming like Mayberry !!
