This school provides great opportunities to excel and take extra classes or enter programs that are on a college level. But, if you just take standard classes, the teaching is so so and children get board if they arent challenged. Over the years, this school is improving and is becoming a very academic plus environment.

The teachers are William Monroe High School are too laid back, and they tend to have their favorite students. They don't always offer their help and when you ask, it's not the help you wanted. Some teachers tend to have a very bad attitude and some socialize so much that the rest of the class doesn't learn anything.

The students at William Monroe have no respect for anything or anybody. They come to school to clown around with their friends and cause trouble to the school system. I have dealt with racial slurs, negative comments, dirty looks, and so much more things that I didn't deserve.

I have never felt like the leader in any situation when I'm at this school. I either get forced to do things or I'm never allowed to participate. I usually just linger around in the background and try to perfect all of my work to impress people.

William Monroe offers different and more advance learning to the students that deserve it. I am in the 9th grade and I was offered to start taking college classes from 10th-12th grade, I was also invited to the BETA club. This school has a lot of programs to offer that will help lead to a successful life after school.

William Monroe doesn't deal with bullying like they should. They just suspend people or avoid the entirely. I've seen people get beat up and they get suspended for trying to defend themselves. I've also been through some drama myself and I requested help from guidance and the assistant principal and I never received any.

This school is not for everyone because it's not for me. I plan on moving after this year due to students and bad teachers. I feel like I'm not getting the best education I could get. All of my classes are packed and full so the teacher only gets to work with a few students. I have had some good years in Greene County but for the past three years things haven't been good.

The homework that teachers assign confuse the students of William Monroe High School. The homework will include criteria that was never gone over by the teachers and this results in bad grades of students that could be doing so much better. Some homework assignments given have no relation to the subject of the class.

Once again,sports prevail at WMHS.They are currently installing a new football field,new seating for the games, and new track around the field.We are a single A school!This years graduation must take place in Charlottesville because of the construction.I feel the money could have into improving the current school buildings or the teacher's pay. Oh, thats right, they are doing away with several assisants and a couple of teachers after this year due to budget cuts.
