The school has been working really hard to support students, and update the school. The small town allows students to get the support they need.

I have been in the classrooms and have seen how hard the Teaching Staff work with the students but not able to the one on one time that some students need. but then I have seen very little support form the community to encourage the backing of this School. Since I have moved in the PTA has not been seen doing thing that would help this school.

This school has many challenges not seen in other school districts. Diversity in ethnicity as well as in social status is a challenge everywhere, but here in Oakville there are delicate balances between Native teachings and culture, and non-Native peoples of all races. Oakville Elementary is doing everything it can to serve the entire community, as well a the student population. With cutting edge teachers, this school endevours to make a positive impact that resounds in the young minds of its students.

This school has many challenges from the top down. Teacher turnover (50-75% each year), poor behaviors, lack of consistent discipline, and lack of respect are all concerns. As a parent, I would chose a different school when possible.
