My son started at Kalles last year, in 8th grade. Ive had several opportunities to meet with staff including, Principal Kovaks. As a 15 year school employee of a neighboring school district, I can honestly say, Kalles has the most dedicated and caring teachers who want nothing more than to see your child be successful. What a great team!

My daughter joined the school this year, from private school, and the transition has been seemless. She has been happy and is excelling. The teachers are engaging and creative, and she is glad to study and perform. I feel good about it.

When my oldest child began seventh grade at Kalles, I had horrible flashbacks to my typical "junior high" experience. I couldn't have been more off-base! This junior high is unlike any other; there is a strong current of acceptance and cohesion that reverberates throughout the school.

There is NO bullying tolerated at Kalles. Students are encouraged to be themselves and embrace differences in others. Every other Friday morning before school, students stand outside the entrance holding signs offering up "free hugs" to anyone who might want one. I know what you're thinking, and I was skeptical at first, too, but it's not a prank or a punishment. Kalles is in its own league.

They had a Veterans Day assembly with veterans there and the principal made sure the students knew what was expected of them. They were so respectful. I was in complete awe.

This is literally the best run junior high I have ever seen with the happiest kids. They are given enough rein that they feel in charge and happy while they are still kept safe and learn which makes us
(the parents) happy. My student loves this school and is already so involved. The staff, especially the principal, are all excellent....we could not be more pleased. Thank you KALLES FAMILY!

Fun, positive & welcoming! This school is focused on learning and helping all students succeed. There is an incredible amount of school "spirit", teachers care deeply and there is a focus on respect and good citizenship. There is a great vibe & lots of clubs and activities for students to get involved in!
