I am currently enrolled at this school. Some teachers are amazing and care for the students and others seem like they are there just for the paycheck. There are often multiple fights in one day. I dont always feel safe at the school but there are some awesome clubs to join and some teachers will work with you after school to help you if you are struggling. Also if you want to go to a school with good sports team this is not it.

This school has been the most un uplifting public school I have attended. So many studentss are not passing and ther are fights everywhere. People do not value education and it is so boring that I had to leave. You are not motivated to do well and that is the reason why I had to leave. Some teachers are outstanding but others are horrible. If you want a competivitve and educational environment that pushes you, this is NOT the place. Sports aren't doing well either, basketball is starting to do better but if you have a child that wants to do sports get them into a better high school.

All of the reviews of this school are outdated. My son is currently a senior and I have another daughter that is a freshmen. The school is very unsafe as it has had more than 25 fights in one year and a lot of them have been really bad fights to the point a policeman has threatened to tase students. I would not recommend this school to anyone. Also, the administrators don't do anything about bullying and are very incompetent. My daughter was being bullied and the schools VP advice was to "ignore them" when she was physically hurt by another student. Terrible terrible school.

This school is pretty great. My son seems really happy here and there are a ton of activities to engage all kids. My only complaint giving it 4 instead of 5 stars is the updating of family access. I don't know how many times I have checked it and it said my son had F's and missing assignments but he didn't (I double checked). It's quite heart stopping to see your A and B student have F's. Take it with a grain of salt or you will have a heart attack. I was worried that the school would be a little rough given the area but so far it's been a great experience. If your moving to the area rest assured that your kiddo could be very happy. 2 weeks into the school year my son fit right in and having a great experience. As a mom simply put; teachers are pretty great, there are a lot of kids, freshmen share lockers (could be a diaster), don't hear a lot about drugs or bullying or gangs, there is some though but it's one of the better area schools.

Although I only went there for about three months into my freshman year, I thought that school was amazing! Before I started highschool I lived in oregon all my life and hated school, I started skipping school and in 8th grade I only went to school for about 30 days out of the whole school year, then I moved to spanaway Washington and was having trouble processing the move and was scared about started school without knowing anyone. The first day I connected with many people and throughout those 3 months I became friends with many different students in many different grades. At many others school you would see different kinds of cliques and seperating and even bullying. But you will not find that at this school. When I went there i was actually editing to go to school, I came to school everyday with a smile on my face. And to find it weird I even went to bed early just to go to school. I went to stright Fs to a 3.5 and actually trying and paying attention to my grades,I became a whole different person. The teachers were amazing, for once In a lifetime I actually felt like someone cared about my future and were very helpful, I loved all of my teachers, I never dreaded going to math .
