We have had nothing but extremely positive experiences at Holy Rosary so far. We look forward to both of our sons completing their pre-K through eighth grade years here. The staff is incredibly friendly and goes way out of their way to make you feel welcome and appreciated. The teachers are warm and affectionate with the kiddos and I have been shocked by the amount of progress my son has made so far this year in the Pre-K Program. The school has exceeded my expectations in every way. It is exceptional too to bottom Staff, students and curriculum are far better than any school I have worked in as a former teacher.

The teachers are not only kind but incredibly talented and professional. Principal is a top notch principal and I have a great deal of respect for all of the staff here. Your child will have a high caliber academic education here and will be treated respectfully by staff.
Unfortunately I would agree with other reviewers that the school community (parents, sports, activities, volunteering) can be difficult to navigate. If you are a white, English is your first language, Catholic, two parent, conservative family you will probably feel welcome here. If you are a person of color, single parent, come from a different cultural/background/religion, English as a second language, etc, you may feel unwelcome. Our family fits into a few of those categories and Ive watched it happen with other families as well. As an example, our kids joined Cross Country hoping to get more involved in the school community. By the end of season, even though we attended every practice and every meet, none of the coaches (who are school parents) ever even spoke to my child one time. Not even a good job. None of the coaches even knew my kids name. My kid was literally invisible which was upsetting in many levels but also a safety issue in a sport like cross country. It was a small team so theres no excuse for that. We were hoping to build more community through cross country but experienced the opposite instead.
For that reason, we are considering other schools for our family.

I will start by saying Ive been very impressed with the high quality education my children have received here. The academics are top notch and create a great foundation for education beyond Holy Rosary. The teachers and administrators are wonderful.
That being said, the community has been very difficult for myself as a parent and my children. The parent groups in some grade levels are clique-ish and not open to newcomers. Even in passing, its difficult to even get a response to good morning or hello in return from other parents at drop off or when volunteering . It feels almost like the parents are in some kind of popular middle school girls clique and we are clearly not a part of it. Really quite sad for a Catholic school- I would think that parents would be more intentional about being kind, inclusive and loving people so this has been really disappointing to the point where we have looked into other schools. I know that not every grade level has this issue, and some are definitely more welcoming than others. If you value high quality education, this is a great spot and Id recommend it. but if mean girl parents would ruin the experience for your family (and keep in mind you will be with the same group of parents from pre-k to 8th grade) go somewhere else.

Pros and cons here, like with any school. The reason weve stayed here so far is the excellent education my child has received. My child is always excited about what shes learning, is continuously challenged in a way that makes her love learning, and looks forward to going to school- those things are a big deal for us . The disappointing aspect for our family has been the lack of community- to the point of feeling very cold and unwelcome at times. Even though we started several years ago in Pre-K, from day one, there was a large group of parents in our grade level who seemed to already know each other and it was quite cliquey from the start. Despite my best efforts in reaching out, volunteering, etc, our family still seems to be almost invisible? at least with many of the parents and the handful of teachers that seem to cater to the popular group of parents. This school has a long way to go to become the inclusive, welcoming, diverse community they say they want to be. That being said, the new principal is kind, caring, and gives me some hope for a better feeling community in the future. For now, we are staying at Holy Rosary.

We have been so happy with the experience our 3 children have had at Holy Rosary School in Edmonds, WA. The staff, teachers, community and parish are an incredible group, our children love going to school every day! We are proud of what they are achieving academically and feel that they will be well prepared for high school and beyond. We could not be happier here and would recommend this school wholeheartedly to all.

My younger daughter is completing 8th grade at Holy Rosary this year, completing our two child, 10 year journey! What a wonderful experience we've had in this supportive, academically challenging and faith-filled community. I will most remember the STEM-based focus of the middle grades (6 through 8), the emphasis on developing public speaking skills (at all grades), and the emphasis on kindness and respect for all. The teachers, staff, and leadership have provided us with many great memories. Thank you!

Holy Rosary School has been a great school for all of my children. Each child felt welcomed and included in their class. They really enjoyed the teachers and graduated as a well-rounded student and well-prepared for high school. This school has a Spanish and Music program from PK through 8th grade, as well as a STEM program from 1st through 8th Grade. Our experience was highly favorable.

Excellent school with dedicated hard working teachers and a loving community. My kindergartner has learned so much this year. As soon as I pick him up he shares about his day. Mostly about what he learned. The Kindergarten class with Mrs. Wachob and Mrs. Rash is one of the most efficient Kindergarten classes I have ever seen / experienced. The children are reading, writing, and doing science and math! They have a "Scientist of the Day" activity in which they are sent home with a science experiment to practice and present to their classmates. What a way to get started in science and public speaking! I couldn't be happier with Holy Rosary School! Thank you!!
