We came from another country and my children were very well received, despite the fact that they did not speak English at the beginning. Very friendly teachers who help inspire our children. Good food, good teaching, my children are motivated to study and got high marks, they were well received and I can safely recommend this school

The scores speak for themselves. Horrible school. Horrible district with very little accountability. So much bullying even so much I sued the school because a teacher actually bullied my son and won a substantial amount of money. And still the bullying continues.

No recomiendo para nada esta escuela es lo peor que existe , mi menor hija fue atacada por una estudiante y fue todo premeditado todos estaban grabando la agresion y nadie hizo nada , y hace unos días otra vez la atacaron a mi menor hija y nadie hace nada por ello los seguridad están de adorno , piensen bien antes de meter a sus hijos a esta escuela .

nothing but issues at another school district but when we moved here we found out this school is better and handles bulling like a whip, I have daily communication with the teachers about grades and behavior.

Lack of parent and teacher communication. Parents work full time so students should have some understanding of homework concepts so that they are able to work on homework independently. Teachers should have planned activities or lectured concepts beforehand. Teachers are paid to do so.

Teachers are rude, discriminate and overlook our Native American and other students of color.

Students cannot be happy in an environment that judges them. When a student is being watched by a cop and teachers, it sets a tone of distrust and hostility. Students should not feel like prisoners being watched. Students should understand that an education us a Gift not a punishment. Encourage students to want to do better. Students want to trust, feel proud and achieve with their peers. All students love notoriety. However when someone feels like an outsider, that is what they become. The school and teachers fail them.

You cannot be an effective leader if you are disrespecting students and not encouraging them to want to succeed. Students feel as if they are expected to fail because of the negative attitudes of teachers. Children are still developing. Teachers tend to get frustrated simply because students are not all learning the one way that they know how to teach. Try other examples, dont get frustrated and give up on our children. Reducate yourselves with new methods. Students should be using all their senses to learn.

Students of color are constantly misdiagnosed with ADHD or ADD because schools receive more funding each year for those students with disabilities. Yet, these students are still failed or overlooked and even worse, prescribed medications they do not need.

When students are not bullying other students, trachers overlook it or are bullying students themselves. My son was bullied bt and insulted by teachers in front of other students. I never understood how an adult could do that to a child. Especially a teacher who should have taken some psychology while earning their degree (Just in case you lacked empathy in the first place). Those teachers are pathetic. They contributed to a childs liw self image and missed an opportunity to teach those other students inportant values and respect. I visited the school often because I felt like i had to protect my son. I did not trust anyone at keithley. The schools are so worried about getting sued so there is never any accountability. So called anti bullying assemblies are thrown together yet Teachers are not modeling that value and so our students are failed time and time again.

Nightmare. I had to quit my job to homeschool my son to help him catch up academically. My son is now at a new school where he is getting good grades but most importantly, he is supported and he is happy.

Dedicated and caring staff led by an innovative principal who works tirelessly to improve a challenging population. Both my sons go to PGK and I wouldn't want them going anywhere else!

The teachers at this school r great but there r Alot of bullys at the school , but the food Is good the staff r nice , and it Is a very great campus!:-)

Some of the kids know me as Ms. Jenny. I am a program specialist for Boys and Girls Club at KMS. From what I heard, the Boys and Girls Club program at KMS is the best out of South Puget Sound Area because of this school. They have great kids who are active and love to be a part of the programs we offer and most importantly there is a strong support system from the staff and parents. The school has always welcomed us (BGC) with open hands because they want their kids to succeed and be active. We have an Island Breeze Dance club and the staff has always supported the children by having them perform at their assemblies. The principal and vice principal are great people and I am very fortunate to be working at this site. With the limited resources and funds that this school has, they always try to create opportunities for the students to take part in. This $5,000 would definitely make a big difference for these kids.
