Eagles Nest Park 1

We absolutely love this park! When we first came to Dover we would typically visit the Airplane Park near housing, until we discovered Eagles Nest. It's beautiful, has mature trees, is just on the other side of the fence from the AMC Museum, and lots for kids to play on. You can even watch planes overhead as they are taking off or landing. My son loves it for that reason alone. It is on the main side of base so it is almost never busy. Lots of picnic tables and pavilions. There are bathrooms there, but they are on the opposite side of the playground, so be prepared to walk a little to get to them. The only downside to this park is that the gun range is on the same road, so if there is practice you will hear it. But really, we love everything about this park!
