Blackwater Bistro 2

We recently tried this local restaurant for lunch after seeing billboards along the main roads and we were not disappointed! The atmosphere is a renovated old home that immerses you in the town history. The waitstaff was friendly and helpful, but most surprising was the wide variety of choices on the menu. The portions were large and filling. The food was quite good and fairly priced. My husband enjoyed a muffuletta that was overflowing his plate! The gouda grits were amazing and a must try! We even opted for the seasonal dessert and it did not disappoint. We will definitely be returning to try more of the menu.

Blackwater Bistro is located downtown Milton, right off the Blackwater river. Many menu options but our faves are the burgers, Shrimp and Grits, and their salads. Most Friday or Saturday nights there is live music and now they serve Sunday Brunch with bottomless mimosas. Outside seating on the front porch or in the yard. It is like visiting someones home since it is a historical home downtown. Wednesday is military appreciation day with discounts. We even go by boat docking at the Milton dock, and walk across the parking lot.
