Mama Chepa's Latin Restaurant 1

Mama Chepa's is advertised as a Salvadoran restaurant, and as I was not familiar with Salvadoran food, we decided to give it a try. We were not disappointed. We were seated immediately, and our server was lovely and attentive. The owner came over and asked if we had any questions about the menu and made recommendations, which were very helpful. All of items on the menu sounded so amazing that we ordered too much! We ordered the papusas as recommended, as an appetizer. If you are not familiar, papusas are like hoe cakes, but with heavenly bits of meat or cheese cooked into them. We also ordered the tacos,both chicken and steak for ourselves and our two boys. They were also incredible. I was so happy to have leftovers. I hid them from my husband so he wouldn't take them to work!
