Dam Neck Beach 2

I live in Atlantic Shores a couple of miles from Dam Neck Base. I have 2 dogs and love to walk the beach. This article was extremely helpful.

This beach is for military only because you have to have a military i.d. to get on base. It's a great beach to escape the touristy areas of VA Beach. You can also bring pets on this beach where they are normally prohibited during the summer months. There also are bathrooms by Shifting Sands beach club. We always had a great time here since it's less crowded but on the beach side. It's a great place to go surfing, as well.
