Lots of attractions. There is a shopping mall, the boardwalk and restaurants.

My family and I lived in Virginia Beach and I loved it. During the summer weekdays, the beach is pretty low key. It is a great time to take the kids and really enjoy it. During the summer weekends most people travel there from all over Virginia so it is more congested and more of a party scene. There is tons of retail shopping to do in that area. My favorite store was going to Marshalls, where you can find high end or name brand products for a discounted price. It is the perfect one shop store for all your needs, home, school supplies, clothes, toys, etc. I loved shopping at the military commissary in that area but my favorite grocery store in the area was the whole foods market. That store is so nice to look in and they have the freshest produce and just a huge selection of everything you need. There is also a go carting park to go to with the kids in the area which was nice. Virginia Beach is a wonderful place to experience.

I love the bike path and boardwalk. Its a great place to go eat and people watch. The beach is really crowded during summer but it's fun. Sometimes it gets a little rough at nighttime.
